The DK Way

Adopted in 1956, “Vasudhaiv Kutumbkum” which translated from Sanskrit means “The World is a Family”, is the motto of Springdales and is indeed deeply etched in the heart of every Springdalian. It is a concept which greatly influences the thought process and value system of all pupils – past and present.

Springdales Dhaula Kuan is known for its pioneering role in Peace and Diversity Education, Co-curricular Engagement, Performing Arts, high Academic Standard and Innovative practices in the field of Science and Technology. This Curriculum has withstood the test of time and has evolved into a dynamic, progressive and multifaceted curriculum. We are inspired by the philosophies of eminent educationists like Maria Montessori, Jean Piaget, Fredrich Froebel, John Dewey, Vygotsky, Rabindra Nath Tagore and Mahatma Gandhi

The DK way prepares students to become Global Citizens of tomorrow through the spirit of appreciation of Diversity and Internationalism, global awareness and participation, and the true belief in the motto ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam’. This creates the problem solvers, leaders and innovators of the future.

Based on the vision and mission statement of the school, the Springdalian Curriculum is multidimensional and includes an academic programme of high standard with a wide range of co-curricular activities such as comprehensive Community Service programmes, sports, creative art, inter-school competitions, public speaking and performing arts.

Over the last 40 years we have proved through our students, graduates, teachers, parents, achievements and laurels – that education cannot and should not merely be textbook oriented and driven by a narrow chapter-based syllabus.

Springdales School Dhaula Kuan has been affiliated to the CBSE since 1989.
