Artistic expression is a core value and essential part of the DK Way. The 1200 seating Rajni Kumar Hall of Friendship features a 35ft. long raised stage with professional grade acoustics, sound and lights, to prepare students to embrace Public Speaking, Dance and Performing Arts. Since the first Annual Day in 1985, the professional level pageantry, complete with custom costumes and scripts written by Dr. Jyoti Bose, has proved to be a must sought after event to attend by both students and parents alike.
Music forms one of the main pillars of Springdalian ethos. No school event is complete without the School Choir, which since its first day in 1983, has always been of the highest level. Songs in all languages, both national and global, have been performed throughout the year. The School Choir has had the honour of performing for Dr. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, Dr. Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa, the Moscow Choir Festival and many other stages in India and around the world. The Annual Inter-House Song Contest brings together the brightest singers, with each year a new star being discovered.
Another pillar that upholds the ethos of the school is Painting, Fine Art and Modern Art. The Art Studio, a large open space for artists to make their masterpieces, facilitates the constant exhibition of student artwork. Be it modern contemporary or a distinctive classical style, student artwork is adorned through the school corridors to provide a visual and creative stimulus to students, parents and visitors.
