Springdales believes that a Global dimension to the curriculum can lead to a school ethos that is more inclusive, just and democratic, and promotes social and environmental responsibility. An education that enhances the intercultural competencies prepares students to succeed in this ever increasingly Globally connected world.
Students need to acquire the necessary experience, knowledge, skills and attitudes pertinent to a multicultural society and the vast variety of activities related to the International and Global sphere reveals the involvement and effort towards greater mutual understanding and exchange of cultures.
Held since 1989, the International Children’s Festival of Peace and Friendship pays tribute to Shri Y. Kumar, the architect of the Springdalian vision, whose cherished goal was the friendship and mutual understanding between children of the world. Students from various embassies have come to perform and showcase their national culture and heritage through performing arts. This event has hosted children from Japan, Sudan, South Africa, England, Australia, China and Palestine and many other countries.
From the 1980’s to the present day, our school has encouraged and welcomed the admission of foreign students from the missions who have displayed through their student years their cultures and their eagerness to meet with Indian Children. Students from Bulgaria, Japan, Nigeria, Sudan, Australia, South Africa, Hungary, Palestine, Romania, Cuba, Bhutan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Ghana and Egypt have all been a part of this school.
